You can take back control.

Anxiety can make us feel like we don’t have control of our thoughts, how we respond to things, or where our life is headed. It becomes a spiral that’s hard to break out of: imagining things that scare or worry us and feeling like we can't stop them.

You might be:

  • Feeling like your response is always bigger than the situation: no matter what you do, you’re way more anxious, worried, or tense than you “should” be

  • Using substances to cope: drinking or using substances more than you used to because it’s the only way to feel calmer

  • Experiencing relationship challenges: snapping at your partner or children, fighting more often, or pulling away and isolating yourself

  • Constantly second-guessing yourself: Asking things like “Did I sound dumb?” “What if this isn’t the right decision?” “What’s going to happen next?”

As an anxiety therapist, my approach is two-fold: helping you reduce the symptoms of your anxiety (because, hello, you want to feel better) but also to examine and address the root causes of it. By understanding how and why anxiety is manifesting the way it is, you can feel truly in control of how you respond, how you think, and how you tackle anxiety-inducing situations in the future.

Maybe someone close to you has seen the way anxiety is impacting you and you’re just exploring the idea of therapy being able to help. Or, maybe you’ve been living with this for a while and it’s now just becoming too much to bear on your own.

I’m here to help you access the skills inside of you that will help you break out of your current thought patterns and experience the relief you’re looking for.

How can therapy for anxiety help?

  • Verbalize and process your thoughts and feelings without judgment

  • Increase feelings of confidence in relationships and connection with others

  • Identify and address the root causes of your anxiety

  • Develop practical coping skills for stressful situations

  • Reduce panic attacks, racing heart, and shortness of breath

  • ...and more

Anxiety doesn’t have to be the one running your life.

You can learn to turn off those “what if” thoughts that are always playing in your mind. Everyday situations don’t have to be marked by panic or second-guessing. You can feel more confident in yourself, your relationships, and your future.
